After some confusion over the validity of the drug tests for “Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman,” CSAC has revealed that the tests were negative. The commission only tested main event fighters Ronda Rousey and Sarah Kaufman at the August 18 event.

The cash-strapped agency’s executive officer Kathi Burns told MMAJunkie the decision to only test the main event was not a budgetary issue but part of the random nature of testing.

The commission did not offer any further explanation for the earlier memo that originally declared the results “invalid,” before a second memo declared the results were still processing. CSAC attributed the error to a simple clerical issue.
