Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Released From Jail
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, who was charged with multiple felonies yesterday in California following a hit and run and brief chase, has been released from the Orange County Jail after posting bail, according to MMAJunkie.com.
Jackson was arrested yesterday by Costa Mesa, California police after hitting multiple cars, fleeing the scene, and leading police on a brief chase before surrendering without incident. “Rampage” was charged with felony evading, reckless driving, and hit and run and was booked into the Orange County Jail on $25,000 bail, which has now been posted allowing Jackson to leave the facility.
UFC President Dana White reportedly flew to Orange County yesterday to post Jackson’s bail.

We all got to see Rampage’s personality on TUF. Many of us new who Rampage was before he came to the UFC. I’ve been in trouble before and am not condoning Rampage’s actions…..BUT……..what he did was not that bad. I do not believe pedestrians were fleeing for their lives as Rampage refused to pull over. His actions were definitely stupid and wreckless. I just feel the police are making it out to be more than it is and worse than it really was. If it is true that Dana flew out to bail Rampage out…..GOOD! Dana should protect and care for his fighters. If it was truly necessary to bring JT Money back, the UFC cannot live without Rampage right now. Rampage is not even half the criminal Jeremy Jackson has become.

I’ve seen reports that he was “medically unfit” to be booked and was release because of this. Seems like a good excuse to drive on the sidewalks.

I am glad there was no alcohol or drugs found. Had that been the case, it would have been difficult for the UFC to promote him. He is obviously having a really hard time with the loss, and you guys are right. He better get ready for Wandy.
I was just thinking… Why do so many people assume that this accident is a result of him losing the title?
Him losing that fight has nothing to do with him crashing and running from the cops…unless he was trying to do this on purpose as some sort of a stunt or cry for attention.

I live in Va, so athletes going to jail really don’t surprise me, but with all of the money that Dana may throw around to keep him out, I am not sure if he will go or not.
That could open up a spot at the top of the division if he does have to do a Chris Leben impersonation.

We haven’t even heard Rampage’s side of the story. Even if he did do it, sometimes you just got to run from the police. It happens.
Well…I have to say that Rampage is an amazing fighter first off…now the loss to Griffin shouldn’t have any kind of impact on him what so ever, if losing affects him that much now, then he needs to give up fighting because i would hate to see the shi* he pulls if he looses again. Now maybe he did have some kind of emergency, when people panic they react before they think…In any event tho, unless anyone was there with Rampage in the truck at that time (which i don’t think any of u were) No one is in any position to pass judgement, or speculate on his fate. let the people who were hired to do that take care of it. There’s never a valid law abiding reason to flee from the police, ever. They hit the lights & sirens and you pull your ass over. End of story. Anything else runs you the risk of jail time (if you’re lucky) or a casket.
Just wait until the civil lawsuits from the people whose cars he ran into are filed. If you don’t think there’s gonna be a big line of people waiting to get a piece of his purse money you’re living in a dream world.

Sorry, just trying to make light of the situation. Incredibly stupid by Quinton. minimum 6 month suspension and hefty fine are in order. And definitely no title rematch anytime soon!
hes defenitely in a lot of trouble but like a few of us have been saying we all make mistakes big and small, and i know i will be reserving judgement for quintons statement. hes a great guy and even if he was doped up or going a little crazy, hes a real person with real problems, we all have them. Ill be buying a ticket to your first fight back rampage good luck with the legal system homie!!
Don’t jump the gun guys. Rampage may never spend a night in jail. It may sound strange and stupid but having more than one charge can be a good thing when it comes to plea bargaining. The few times I was in trouble, it was always easier with multiple charges because my lawyer had something to work with as far as getting certain charges dropped. My guess is Rampage will have the majority of his charges dropped if he pleads guilty or no contest to one of his lesser charges. When it comes to court, the legal system takes a long time and money talks. The longer Rampage can afford to put court dates off and shoot down deals brought by the POS prosecutor, the better off he’ll be. I paid my lawyer $5,000+ to help me with a transportation of marijuana charge. I got off with spending 45 minutes in a holding cell and NO fines when all was said and done. It took almost 2 years going to court stressing me out to the point of insanity. Rampage has the UFC behind him and that means big money with the best legal help available. MONEY can get you through the legal system like nothing ever happened. Probation, fines and maybe community service is the worst I can imagine happening to Rampage. He is slightly high profile so it is going to be very different than most similar cases.

When i heard of this a few days ago i was shocked…
my thoughts are that rampage was reachin for a CD or changing the radio and hit a car, then speed off… hit/run is a very common thing, especially for celebrities… 80% of people involved in hit/runs run because they panic…

i think Dana did the right thing bailing him out, but it was contradictory to what dana has done in the past…
i think the reason dana bailed him out was pretty damn simple… if rampage goes to jail, he’d prolly end up there for a long time, because of all the other criminals trying to get a piece of him… dana prolly bailed him out to keep rampage safe. while sure rampage could knock the block off a few guys, hed have a tough time taking on 5 or 6 guys…
