Titan FC’s light heavyweight division is about to get some extra name value as K-1 Star and It’s Showtime champion Tyrone Spong has been added to the ranks of the promotion’s 205 lb. weight class. The Dutch kickboxer announced today that he will be making his MMA debut with the Kansas City-based promotion as well as making the trek down to light heavyweight.
“The King of The Ring” holds an impressive kickboxing record of 68-6-1 with one no contest. A move to the Blackzilians team in Boca Raton has seen Spong train with the likes of Rashad Evans, Alistair Overeem, and Anthony Johnson, which will certainly aid the Dutchman in making the transition. Spong will make his MMA debut at Titan FC on November 2, which takes place in Hammond, Indiana. No opponent official has been set for the kickboxer’s debut.

If he can develop a ground game he can be a force!…..Hopefully Rashad and the boys over at “Blackzillians” can coach him up fast but thus far their track record is not very impressive
agreed, if Tyrone can get even a halfway decent sprawl and sub defense, just to make it back to his feet (at least until he gets comfortable on the ground that is.) then i can’t see too many standing with him at all.
