UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has received medical clearance for his return to the Octagon. St-Pierre has been battling back to return from a knee injury suffered prior to UFC 143. The champ will face interim champion Carlos Condit in a title unification bout at UFC 154. St-Pierre tweeted the good news earlier today.
UFC 154 will take place November 17 live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. UFC officials had previously state the bout was possible prior to GSP being cleared and now their optimism has been rewarded.
The November card will also feature a welterweight number one contender bout between Johny Hendricks and Martin Kampmann.
