After today’s UFC 151 debacle, a welterweight match-up, that would have taken place next weekend at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, has been moved to what would have been UFC 152 on September 22 in Toronto as Charlie Brenneman welcomes Kyle Noke to the 170 lb. division.
Brenneman’s (15-4) latest performance saw “The Spaniard” decimated by rising star Erick Silva in June. Now 1-2 in his last three bouts, he likely fights to stay with the UFC. Brennemen was clearly upset by the cancellation of UFC 151, “The Spaniard” quickly took to twitter to blast Jon Jones, saying to the champion “you can send my check to PO box 198. EH NJ. Rent is due the first, so preferably by then. Thanks.”
Noke (19-6) moves to 170 lb. behind back-to back losses to Ed Herman and Andrew Craig, “KO” will attempt to right the ship at the lighter weight. The Aussie had little to say about the cancellation of UFC 151, other than the fact that he is was “heartbroken” when he heard the news.
