Ellenberger will be looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Martin Kampmann at the “TUF Live” finale. Ellenberger had won six straight since losing to current interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit. Ellenberger will now look to regain that momentum against the man who gave him his first career loss.
Hieron will be looking to gain his first UFC victory after losses to Jonathan Goulet and Georges St-Pierre in his previous stints with the company. Hieron rebounded at Legacy Fighting Championship 12 with a win over Romario da Silva after suffering his first loss in nearly four years to Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren at Bellator 56. “The Thoroughbred” holds a 2006 IFL victory over the “Juggernaut.”
