On November 2 at Casino Rama in Ontario, Bellator returns to “The Great White North” for their 79th offering. Bellator officials announced today that the card will feature a virtual “who’s who” of Bellator stars as BFC bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas, UFC and Strikeforce veteran Paul Daley, and surging welterweight Ryan Ford have been slotted onto the bill.
“Dudu” Dantas (14-2) will be taking on the winner of this weekend’s headlining bout between countrymen Marcos Galvao and Luis Nogueira in his first title defense. The Nova Uniao product wrested the 135 lb. title from Zach Makovsky at Bellator 65 this past April.
Welterweights Paul Daley (30-12-2) and Ryan Ford (18-4) will both be on the bill, but will not be facing one another. Both men have yet to see an opponent announced. Daley made his promotional debut last month at Bellator 72, dismantling Rudy Bears in the opening period. Ford, beat the tar out of Luis Santos in May for his promotional debut, stopping the Brazilian in the second stanza, moving him to 6-1 in his last seven fights, with all wins coming by stoppage. “The Real Deal’s” most recent run has seen him take out the likes of UFC veterans Karo Parisyan and Pete Spratt.
