While UFC 155 has yet to be given an official date or location, Zuffa officials have announced a lightweight match-up between top contenders as Gray Maynard and Joe Lauzon will meet at the promotion’s gargantuan year-end event.
Lauzon (22-7) comes in hot after what will likely be remembered as the “Fight of The Year” against Jamie Varner at UFC on Fox 4. The Massachusetts native took home both “Fight of The Night” and “Submission of The Night” bonuses after forcing the former WEC Champion to tap to a triangle choke in closing period of an all-out war.
Maynard (11-1-1) is coming off of a win of his own, taking a split decision victory over Clay Guida in a rather tepid affair at UFC on FX 4. While the match will go down as one of the worst of the year, it had little to do with “The Bully” and was largely due to to the timidity of Guida, which visibly frustrated Maynard.
UFC 155 is anchored by a UFC heavyweight title rematch as Junior Dos Santos takes on the man he took the title from, Cain Velasquez. Also on the bill is former UFC middleweight title challenger Chael Sonnen, who will be making the move to 205 lb. to take on Forrest Griffin in a rematch of their 2003 bout.

UFC 155 is rumoured to take place Dec. 29th in Las Vegas. A venue has yet to be announced.
Yeah, nothing official yet though.
THIS CARD IS SLOWLY STACKING UP, HOPE IT STAYS THAT WAY. CANT FREAKIN’ WAIT!
This should be a good fight! Go Boston!
