A pair of bouts have been added to UFC 152 as a featherweight tilt pits Charles Oliveira against Cub Swanson and a welterweight match-up between Dan Miller and Sean Pierson have been scheduled for the event on September 22 in Toronto, Ontario.
Since dropping to featherweight, Oliveira (16-2) has been absolutely sterling in his 145 lb. run. Twice “Do Bronx” has stepped into the cage as a featherweight and twice had his hand raised behind a beautiful submission win, most recently tapping TUF winner Jonathan Brookins. His opponent, the surging Cub Swanson (17-5) is on an impressive two fight run that has seen him knockout George Roop and TUF winner Ross Pearson in brutal fashion.
Dan Miller (14-6) will make his second foray into the welterweight division when he meets Sean Pierson (12-6). Miller recently made his welterweight debut, defeating Ricardo Funch with his trademark guillotine late in their June bout. “The Punisher” recently bounced Jake Hecht from the cage in June, winning a one-sided unanimous decision.
UFC 152 takes place September 22 live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The card will be headlined by the inaugural flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and Joe Benavidez. The card will also feature a bout between middleweight contenders Michael Bisping and Brian Stann.
