Vernon White Suspended Nine Months For Failed Drug Test

UFC veteran Vernon “Tiger” White has been suspended for nine months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after testing positive for the banned diuretic Hydrochlorothiazide following a kickboxing victory over Anthony Brown in the Xtreme Fighting Association on May 31st according to MMAWeekly.com.
The result of the bout has been changed to a no contest and White has been fined $2,000.
White was to fight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at Affliction “Banned” this Saturday, July 19th, but was removed from the bout and replaced by Edwin Dewees after failing the drug test.

i dont understand if you know its illegal then why would you take it it just doesnt make sense you will get caught then you will be in trouble
I still don’t know why they had Liddell fight this guy back in the day. He is a tough guy for sure, but his record is terrible. 26 wins and 32 losses.
Veron has a bad hybrid style of Taekwondo and Lion’s Den.That was tailor made for a stand up striker like Liddell to KO him. It was an easy title defense.
Like I’ve been saying, at this point these guys KNOW better. No excuses for dirty drug tests and not making weight. It is the fighters job to follow the rules. Vernon should be ashamed. Affliction was coming out of the gate with such a huge “bang,” he must be upset being he can no longer parttake in what some call the best MMA fight card in history. Well deserved.
Another fighter popped for a banned substance. Man are these guys just plain stupid they know they are going to get caught. But they still do it and it just blows my mind how dumb they are.
In a way I was hoping to see little NOG ko the Tiger but Edwin Dewees will do.
Vernon was a B level fighter for a while.Now I would put him behind Matsui.At least Matsui tries and doesn’t get in dumb situations outside the ring. And lets not forget he(Tiger) was even awful as the fall guy for Ken when he went to WWE.He was a worse performer than Severn and that is saying alot because “the beast” was just the real life version of Slag from Escape from New York.
wow he really needs to retire i would pick shamrock in a fight over him….he should just become a commentator or a ref or even a coach…the fighting in his life just isnt working out
Liddell fought Vernon right after his fist fight with Tito (before he won the title). After knocking out Tiger in the 1st round Chuck got his rematch with Randy and won the belt.
Anyway, Vernon was coming off a loss when he faught Liddell so it looked like they threw Chuck a can, but Chuck wanted to fight him because Vernon was talking smack about him saying he tryed to dodge him. Now what a joke that was!

Yeah Vernon could be a good ref we all know MMA needs good ref’s (Damn you Big John!) but he’s probably stubborn and thinks he can still compete.

i know i wish we had a couple better refs…i miss big john..he never stopped a fight early..he was the best ref ever…i think he will be a great color comintator for affliction!
I wonder if that’ll have the decision victory he had over Anthony Brown in their Muay Thai match overturned because of drug use??
