A featherweight title matchup between champion Jose Aldo and Erik Koch has been announced for UFC 153 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The fight, originally supposed to headline UFC 149, will take place at the HSBC Arena on October 13. MMAJunkie first reported the news.
The bout will be Aldo’s first action since defeating Chad Mendes at UFC 142. Aldo will put his 14-fight win-streak on the line when he faces Koch.
While UFC President Dana White said they were reconsidering Aldo’s opponent due to Chan Sung Jung’s impressive performance against Dustin Poirier, Jung’s recent shoulder surgery shelved those considerations. That said, Koch comes into the bout with a 13-1 record, with the only loss coming against Mendes. Koch has been stuck in limbo since last September due to an injury before UFC 143 and Aldo’s injuries prior to UFC 147 and UFC 149.
UFC 153 will take place October 13 live from HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Stay tuned to MMAFrenzy for more news on upcoming bouts on the card.

ALDO VS KOCH SHOULD BE SWEET.
no the zombie vs Aldo would be sweat, but not in Brazil, the zombie has no chance of winning in Brazil, not like anyone has a chance of beating Aldo, but in Brazil the kid is untouchable.
