With the UFC Fighter Summit already underway in Vegas, every fighter under the Zuffa banner has been packed under one roof to meet with the company brass. The fighters will be educated in the ways of social networking, media relations, and finances over the course of the next two days.
While doors are closed to the general population, there are various ways to get updates on the events happening inside the Fighter Summit over twitter, giving followers an inside look at the “business side of things”.
The first, and realistically most simple way is to keep the #UFCFighterSummit list open in your twitter feed, as fighters discussing the event have been made to tag their tweets with it.
The final way is to simply cut out the riff raff and follow a few fighters directly. Some recommendations, who seem to be making even the most banal aspects of the meeting mildly entertaining, are Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix finalist Josh Barnett, UFC lightweight Joe Lauzon, Former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem, Ultimate Fighter winner Amir Sadollah, and former WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres.
It seems fighters are vying to keep themselves entertained on twitter, largely by tweeting photos of one another dozing off while being told how to use the social networking platform. It’s clearly a thrilling day for Zuffa employees.
