Bisping Eyes UFC 152 Return, Wants Stann or Belcher

Michael BispingFresh off a knee surgery which kept him out of a UFC 149 bout with Tim Boetsch, Michael Bisping is already eyeing a return to the octagon at UFC 152. After losing a contentious decision to number-one contender Chael Sonnen in January, the Brit is now focused on one thing, winning the UFC Middleweight title.

Bisping proclaimed on UFC Tonight’s “Ask The Analyst” segment the he wants to move closer to a title shot, naming two potential opponents. The first being All-American Brian Stann, who the Brit remained mum about, simply saying “he’s a good fighter but I know his shoulder is injured.”

The Ultimate Fighter 3 winner did have some choice words for his second option, Alan Belcher. “Alan Belcher’s somebody that’s been calling me out for what seems like forever now. To be quite frank, I’m sick of it. So, Alan Belcher if your balls are big enough call Joe Silva and let’s do it,” demanded the Brit.

While a match-up with either man is promising and would certainly put the winner in the middleweight title picture, the ostensible bad blood between Bisping and Belcher would make an excellent addition to the UFC’s return to Toronto.

Either one will kick his ass..Bisping is a nobody!!!!!!!

I always wanted to see Stann vs. Bisping on a 4th of July show!

I still like the idea of Bisping vs. Franklin, but since Bisping expressed interest in 2 others, a fight with Franklin and him probably won’t happen next.

Also, Bisping/Belcher makes more sense than Bisping/Stann. A win over Belcher would get him a title shot. A win over Stann might not get him a title shot… It could, but it shouldn’t.

I like Belcher a lot and would love to see him in a #1 contender fight with bisping. Did Stann have surgery on his shoulder? If so what’s his timeline for return?
Pretty sure Rich is not relevant at MW, so him fighting bisping only makes sense if bisping loses his next fight and rich wins his next.

I like Belcher as a choice and as a loss. I think Belcher has strong standup and it if goes to the ground a really good opportunity to take a body part home with him. He wasn’t afraid of Palhares why should he be afraid of Bisbing on the ground.

bisping looked great against chael and should be calling out chael …
whether he wins or loses @ 148 . chael is way easier fight than belcher.
belcher beat palhares a very scary dude. and looked better than ever. the timing seems about right unless anderson decides not to let go when chael taps and messes sonnens limb.

dana might give him the chael fight as the decision was very debatable. imo opinion bisping won and would have dominated a 4rth or 5th roundit was looking like
    .

Belcher is one of the most under-rated fighters in the UFC. I think he should have gotten the decision over Akiyama. So many people forgot about him when be was out with his detached retina It is amazing how well he picked up right where he left off. The Toquino fight showed just how dangerous he is and how he is able to beat people in their own comfort zones. I think that win would have been enough to earn him a title shot, but I can’t argue with him having to fight one more top ten guy first. Bisping seems like a perfect fit.

This might finally be Belcher’s opportuity…
