Ricco Rodriguez Underwhelms Boxing Fans
It seems even Mike Tyson can find no love for former UFC champion Ricco Rodriguez. Tyson was on hand in Las Vegas along with other notables on Tuesday who witnessed “Suave” box professionally for the second time in his career:
“Earlier in the evening, former UFC heavyweight champ Ricco Rodriguez lost in a split decision. Ricco tipped the scales at 270 pounds. He had Xtreme Couture boxing coach Ron Frazier in his corner and wore a pair of trunks with a Throwdown logo in a homage to MMA.
Mike Tyson made fun of the fight. “Are you going to throw some punches or what?†he asked in the first round. Ricco’s opponent, Chad Davis, from Phoenix, taunted the former UFC champ at the end of the first with a little hip gyration maneuver. “Come on,†Tyson implored. “Try to hurt each other.â€
Though Tyson was clearly dissatisfied with the fight, he did not reportedly threaten to eat any of Ricco’s children or extended family members.

Would love to see Tyson take that Mouth and put it in MMA. At least Ricco was trying to box. I remember when he was afraid to trade. Ricco could still be a force if he lost the weight and trained smart.Alot of weight (205). He doesn’t have the HVWT intimidation anymore. Oh and it would not hurt to 1 apologize for the past. 2 Speak only when spoken too. Watch Bull Durham and Hancock and try to pattern your life out of the lessons of Jason Bateman and Kevin Costner.

Ricco looks like crap. His next MMA fight is against another fat load name Johnathan Ivey (26-33). Ivey is a local guy and his school and the local paper were making it out like he is a UFC contender out to beat the great former UFC champ. Ricco is washed up and Ivey is a never was.
Mike Tyson was one bad M-fer in his day. I’s sure he could jack most people up still but he to will never be a champion again.
The guy you should be watching is David Nino Rodriguez not Ricco Rodriguez!!!This dudes a joke. They are two different sports and boxing takes much more stamina and pain tolerance. There is too many options in UFC but in boxing you must fight!! There is nowhere to hide and you will be exposed.
