The hits keep coming. Yet another UFC bout has fallen through due to injury as Siyar Bahadurzada has withdrawn from his UFC 149 bout with Chris Clements. “The Killer” originally stepped in as a replacement for Yoshihiro Akiyama to face Thiago Alves, who was also forced out of the bout due to injury, giving Clements the slot.
Matt Riddle now steps in as a replacement for the replacement and is set to face the other replacement; wrap your head around that.
Riddle (6-3) is coming off of a contentious split decision victory over Henry Martinez at UFC 143, snapping a two-fight skid for the TUF veteran. Clements (11-4) made his promotional debut at UFC 145, taking a split decision victory over Keith Wisniewski. The welterweights will now face off at UFC 149.
