“Banha,” who was set to make his middleweight debut against Yushin Okami, will now be replaced by countryman Rousimar Palhares.
Although Palhares is coming off of a deflating loss to Alan Belcher at UFC on Fox 3, the jiu jitsu ace was riding a three-fight win-streak, which included two leglock submissions.
Perennial middleweight contender Yushin Okami, is coming off of the first two-fight skid in his career. While little can be said about the loss to pound-for-pound king Anderson Silva, Okami’s most recent loss to Tim Boetsch at UFC 144 saw “Thunder” dominate until the third round, where his opponent blitzed him in a shocking come from behind finish.
UFC 150 is currently set to be headlined by a lightweight championship rematch between current champion Benson Henderson and the man he wrested the title from, Frankie Edgar.
