On June 23 the UFC returns to Brazil for UFC 147. The event will be headlined by a rematch between Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin. The event’s co-main event will feature highly ranked heavyweight Fabrico Werdum facing off with Mike Russow, who is currently riding an 11-fight winning streak since losing to Sergei Kharitonov. Werdum recently caught up with UFC cameras to discuss his upcoming fight with Russow and the heavyweight division in general.

prob biggest mis match in ufc heavyweight history
I have to disagree, Overeem vs. Rogers
Not to be picky Chris, but johnboy said “in ufc heavyweight history” wasn’t Overeem vs Rogers in SF?
Missed that, but it’s all the same company. Even then, this is a division that saw the fat dude from Hawaii Five-O and world champion kickboxer fight… so there’s been plenty of mismatches.
Oh yes, there’s been a lot of mismatches in the HW division over the years, this is not the worst IMO. There’s even been a boxer who stepped in against an aged vet who made him look like a fish out of water.
Werdum want’s the belt, but the one who have the belt is the one who Knocked him out cold.
I know Werdum has said before that he would love another shot at JDS again. When they first met JDS was not a household name and I believe Werdum said he didn’t know much about him.
