I didn’t have it as clear cut but I had it 3 rounds to 2 for Forrest.
Forrest is humble & that is what the UFC needs right now. He always puts on a show & doesn’t talk a lot of nonsense about others.
Way to go Forrest. Maybe this is retribution from when he beat Tito during their last meet up.
there’s no point sayin forrest got robbed etc etc etc. Rampage lost theres no changing it, we may aswell be happy for forrest he won the fight. stop moaning that rampage got robbed

I do not feel Forrest got lucky. With exception to late in the first round, Forrest looked better in this fight. Quinton only attacked maybe 2-4 times throughout the duration of the match. Other than that he tried to counter everything and it was not very successful for Rampage. It would have been a terrible tile defense had Rampage won. There’s always the rematch.

I agree with you KOouch, Rampage tried to fight a Liddell style fight and that’s not who he is. Wonder if Rampage signed over his purse since it went to a decision?
cant belive people r takeing the fight away from forrest, i think people just like 2 argue on here, rampage got hurt and didn’t push the pace at all forrest wa just picking him off,

I dont see how people think Rampage won the fight. After the second when rampage hurt his leg it was all forrest – Rampage is at his most effective when he is the agressor and he is coming forward. He didnt do that, didnt fight his fight and forrest stuck to the gameplan and won fair and square

You’re absolutely 100% correct. I was pissed when people booed Forrest. He has done nothing other than train his ass off and entertain us since his arrival in the UFC. Forrest is a success story. I cannot imagine anything better than a TUF 1 contestant going on to become a champion. What makes it more special with Forrest is that his fight with Bonnar almost single handedly threw the UFC into the mainstream at the time. Had Griffin fought like Cote do you think there would have been an impact after the TUF live finale? Hell NO! I think the problem in Vegas was the drunk crowd….more than half obviously new little to nothing about MMA. The same people who booed will switch sides and be prepared at a moments notice to take Forrest’s manhood from the behind….f’n front runners. Right is right…Rampage did not successfully defend his title. Forrest had a game plan and it worked. He still should have thrown more leg kicks.
i know i hate when a bunch of drunks boo forest won clearly in my book even if people disagree which if they do i think is crazy the guy just won the title some people dont understand how much hard work was put in to that but it dont matter true mma fans didnt boo
It bothers me when you hear people booing fighters, half of them dont know a left hook from a button hook, and the other half are legends in there own minds

i wanted rampage to win this alot but even so i couldnt boo forrest he fought a smart fight and he nullified rampages counters and he showed incredible heart he put my jaw on the floor i do however disagree wit the judges scores i still say forrest won but i had it 48-47 cuz if not really doin much cept layin on top of someone gets u a 10-8 round how is every sean sherk fight not full of 10-8 rounds

Griffin is Arrogant. He can back it up though…just proved that. Shows no respect. Needs to learn how to be gracious and humble in winning.
I gotta say I hardly EVER see a borring fight in the UFC. I think standing up fighters in a ground fight should be banned. I’ve always agreed with Joe Rogan on that. If a wrestlers has the strength and ability to keep you down, then it’s your fault for not being good enough to get back up. People that boo fighters are just not informed. They want to see blood and guys in the cage, and there are those fights. But they even Boo’d Josh Koshcheck who delivered a bloody horror scene. That crowed was disrespectful. Forrest looked amazing and did everything perfect. I think he’ll have a hard time with Chuck but other than that I think he beats every 205lber they throw at him. Too bad Rasad is going to get KTFO by Chuck cause i’d like to see Forrest beat him too.
I cant stand people that Boo. Bottom line, that person has (usually) earned this chance to be in the ring and anyone with the bollocks to get in the ring with someone who’s going to try and destroy you earns respect…

I did not want Forrest to beat Rampage, but I knew he would. I called the upset a long time ago. I posted it several times on previously on here leading up to the fight card that for some reason it just felt like it was Forrest’s time to shine! Even with those feelings, I still was rooting for Rampage all the way. I thought he had there in the 1st, but Forrest really show his resilance and determination.
I will go ahea and call it right now, if Liddell beats Evans, Liddell gets the title shot right away (probably will be at the new years eve show in December). The fight will sell out and be huge. It’s an easy fight to sell. TUF-1 coach versus TUF-1 contestant….coach versus student….teacher versus pupil…it was bound to happen sooner or later. They can call it, UFC 91: “Inevitable”
) I know guys I’m jumping the gun…first Chuck has to beat Rashard which personally I’m tempted to call an upset on this as well.
