This September 29th, the UFC will return across the pond to the Capital FM Arena. It remains unclear, however, as to whether or not the event will be one of the UFC’s numbered outings or a Fuel or FX offering.
A pair of bouts on the card have been announced, both of which unsurprisingly feature Brits. Bantamweights Brad Pickett and Yves Jabouin will do battle, as well as lightweight TUF veterans Andy Ogle and Akira Corassani.
Pickett (21-6) comes into the octagon with a 2-1 record in his last three fights. victories over Damacio Page and Ivan Menjivar are split by a fight of the night performance against against Renen Barao, where “One Punch” fell victim to a rear-naked choke late in the first round. The Brit most recently dominated Damacio Page at UFC on Fuel TV 2 in April, finishing his opponent with a rear-naked choke in the second stanza.
Canadian Yves Jabouin (16-7) comes into the cage riding hot on a three-fight win-streak. The kickboxer recently dominated Jeff Houghland enroute to a unanimous decision victory at UFC on Fuel TV 3.
Another Brit, Andy Ogle (8-1) joins the card behind a run on TUF: Live which saw him upset Mike Rio in the preliminary rounds, but due to suffering a KO loss to eventual finalist Al Iaquinta in the quarterfinals, he was not medically cleared to join his cast mates in the finale.
A member of the finals TUF season on Spike TV, Akira Corassani (9-3) has yet to compete inside the promotion due to a string of unfortunate injuries. The Swede’s run on The Ultimate Fighter 14 saw the striker drop to featherweight and make it into the semi-finals, losing to Dennis Bermudez by submission after notching victories over Dustin Neace and Brian Peaman.

They need to put Dan Hardy on this card.
Bisping VS Stan for #1 contender (injuries permitting)? The Brits deserve a solid headliner!!
may be a little too ambitious with the timetable of knee surgery
I would love to see Stann vs Belcher, it has WAR written all over it
Totally agree. From what I’ve read, doctor’s are relatively optimistic of a quick return. Doctors, in my opinion, usually take quite conservative stances with injuries. That being said, I haven’t been able to find what Stann’s injury was.
Any idea?
Grade 2 separation of his shoulder. Out of training 6-8 weeks. Assuming it heals properly and there are no set-backs.
jabouin vs pickett, dang what a fight!!!!
