Apparently, Lesnar’s appearance came after he quit the WWE again and filed a lawsuit against the pro wrestling organization for breach of contract. Varying rumors have emerged since pegging the whole thing as a publicity stunt related to that dust-up, but contradicting reports are now emerging.
According to Mike Sawyer from Wrestling Observer and Tough Talk MMA, Lesnar’s hyped meeting with UFC president Dana White didn’t go as badly as was initially reported. Apparently, the former heavyweight champion is due back in the Octagon before year’s end with an opponent already lined up.
Had an interesting conversation with someone VERY close to all the Brock Lesnar stuff. He is fighting THIS YEAR in UFC & not Frank Mir…
Lesnar last appeared in the cage in December of last year, losing by brutal TKO against Alistair Overeem. That defeat was the 34-year-old’s second such loss in a row and that, coupled with his repeated flare-ups of diverticulitis, prompted Lesnar to hang up his gloves and return to the world of pro wrestling.
