I’m only betting on 2 of these. I got Almeida and Gurgel. If I had more money I would place bets on all the favorites. The only possible upset I see is Hill and Buchholz. I haven’t seen that much from Hill I’m not sure he should be at (-215). I think Guillard will win also but (-200) after losing a couple of fights is to risky for me.
I dont see cote winning this one. He isnt versed in submissions @ all
i wasnt aware that forrest and cote was that heavyly unfavored . but hey thats why we love the ufc cause someone will bet forrest and someone may be very lucky
smitty that doesnt mean that just cause a guy is good at jits that doesnt mean he can get the fight to the ground cote is a stick and move kinda guy
If I bet on the main even I would bet Forrest. No disrespect to Rampage but the height will make the difference. Forrest can take pain but Rampage can’t overcome the height difference in the clinch.Forrst has everyone at Extreme Couture. Who is Rampage using for Forrest Bisbing? We should have a new champ come Sunday.
rampage has been sparring with wanderlei silva
if rampage keeps this standing then forrest is in trouble, if forrest can get it to the ground and put rampage on his back then i think rampage is in trouble even he admits his jui jitsu is bad
Sherdog had an article that said Forrest was sparring with wanderlei neven broke his nose.
I dont think he has to take him down and Rampage has to get inside hence the dilemma…(anything can happen and it sure is fun to speculate…)take care
D
For the risk/reward McCully is worth 20.
I think it will be a close fight between Forrest and Rampage, i think Rampage wins but its going to be very close
u think forrest should get on the inside, man if he stands in the pocket rampage is going to have a field day.
Wanderlei has been sparring with them both apparently accoriding to ‘countdown to ufc 86′
how does the betting system work in America?
Are the fighters with the minus next to them the favourites?
yes the ones with the minus next to them are the favorite
Man Gabriel Gonzaga is a huge favourite, McCully has looked that bad in the UFC
correction to the above comment
“McCully hasnt looked that bad in the UFC”
the betting is if a guy is -600 you have to lay 600 of your money to win 100. If a guy is say +215 you lay 100 to win 215
o ok so maybe he’s not such a huge underdog thanks ‘ethan’
It is hard to judge the fights and win money…especially with the way they make the lines
you really have to be careful picking favorites. I think you have to find the best value picks. Someone that is really good at one aspect but a massive underdog. Like Matt Serra. Even though he lost the second fight with GSP he was +750 or some huge number. I feel like thats a lot of value.
Rampage has to get close to negate the height. Forrest has advantage because his height allows control in Thai clinch plus randy and the extreme couture fighters allowed him to develop greco type control in the clinch. plus his original training in functional jkd gives him the benefit in zone transitions. Forrest wins…
I would love to see Forrest win .. but I think Rampage gets the TKO in rd 1 ..
The longer the fight goes the better chance that forrest has of winning, he always seems to look better as the fight goes on
Anything is possible and Rampage is the champ for a reason but I just feel that too many of those in the know are going by the fact he knocked out Chuck and beat Dan Henderson. No offensee to Dan but he is a middleweight and the Chuck game plan will not work in this instance. Forrest will be able to do what he need to…Take punishment and take a fight to the champ. And the fundament factor of the taller fighter controls the clinch is a crucial in my opinion.
i think i get the betting now haha if i had the cash ide lamp on rampage i cant see forrest winning at all! and for the upset ide go for buchholz to beat hill, hill is way overrated in my opinion.
Check out mma props on bodog. (won’t start round 2 is +215). I’d like to take that bet.
look for siver to upset melvin siver could rnc in round one or two
but i think mccully is gonna do great…just by how confident he acted at the weigh ins and on inside mma…..the insane 1 by stoppage round 2
These odds dont intrest me much (apart from McCully )
The bet that is worth 20 bucks/quid will be in 2 weeks Irvin over Silva at 5/1 !
That is fantastic odds
im starting to agree with Dietrich
Forrest is going to have to take some heavy punishment but i think he can cause an upset
Anything can happen. I just think what will happen will be bad for Rampage.
