Karo Parisyan “Can’t Handle” Nate Diaz Anymore, Not Thinking About Weight Class Change
Karo Parisyan was a recent guest on TAGG Radio’s The Lights Out Show and had some interesting things to say about Nate Diaz, changing his weight class, and his future preparation for fights.
“I wouldn’t have to punch [Nate Diaz]. I would slap him,” Parisyan said. “I was very close to taking his head off because of his attitude…Do you (Nate) know what I’m capable of on the street?!…Eventually one day something going to happen, because I can’t handle that kid anymore.”
“I haven’t thought about going up or down,” Parisyan responded when asked about changing his weight class. “What I have thought about was actually getting in shape for a fight. I’m not partying with the girls so much and I’m starting to really train for the fights.â€

Karo’s a hot head and he should just let the whole Nate Diaz thing ride. Besides, the way I saw it, he kinda intiated the whole thing. He should just consentrate on putting together a string of impressive victories so that he can finally earn that elusive title shot. He always gets close and then looses. He nees to get his mind off of Nate.
I’d like to see Karo Parisyan fight Josh Koscheck. I think that would be a pretty good fight.

He initiated that thing with Diaz for sure. I actually used to respect him, because I thought he was a pretyy good fighter.
Now when I hear someone tell me “how bad he is on the street” – That’s where I lose all respect for you. Trust me. People know what you’re capable of. If you have to advertise yourself in that way, by reminding people who you are and what you can do, then buddy, you’re not that tough.
Looking at his record, Karo has won 8 of his past 11 fights. The losses were decisions to GSP and Sanchez and the TKO to Alves. Of his past 8 wins, 1 has come via submission (strikes) and the other 7 have come via decision. I was at UFC 78 in Jersey last November when he beat Ryo Chonan and it was the snoozer of the night, among the most boring fights I’ve ever seen. He is the polar opposite of fighters like Wanderlei Silva, who don’t care about winning and losing as much as putting on an exciting fight. Karo seems to be exactly the kind of fighter the UFC would prefer to avoid but can’t because he has, in fact, defeated some big names (albeit in a less-than-exciting manner.) I suppose he can be compared to Lyoto Machida in a way, except Machida is much more humble and focused.

What a moron. I’ve disliked him for quite a while, but this is something he thinks will make him look cool or something. Why don’t you go pick some fights that you can win and not win them? I still want to see him and Nick in the octagon again, but Nate would do. Actually I don’t care who he fights, just want him to lose some more. He would fit perfectly in EliteXC or strikeforce. I liked Karo but the second he started **** with Nate on TUF I questioned his personality. Why is he even bringing it up now? Nate is coming up in the UFC and Karo has successfully f-d himself into being a gatekeeper. If Karo were to lose his next 2 fights, I would not be surprised to see him go bye bye. The big mouth should drop down and back his words up or shut up. The “street” comment was ridiculous. He is a professional fighter and I now hate officially dislike him. does anybody remember when they interviewed him after he got into it with Nate…He was mouthing the tuf alumni…acting like they weren’t **** compared to him and saying they don’t even know what he could do to them….I thought this was halarious seeing how he got his ass wooped by diego sanchez (ulimate fighter 1 winner)…Yea they don’t know what you could do to them Karo..your a real badass

i like nate but i think he needs a few more fights aagainst reasonbable opponents because he was gettin beat bad by kurt pellegrino before he caught him in that triangle. If nate were to fight manny now manny would take him down and get submitted . I want to see him fight thiago tavares that would be a good fight and maybe frank edgar??

whenever karo’s faces a reasoanable opponent he gets his ass kicked, diego sancchez, georges st pierre and thiago alves and only just managed to beat nick diaz. I like his fighting style but i cant stand him. Karo v Davis maybe?
I used to respect Karo prior to the TUF encounter with Nate. I know it was edited but he came off really bad. Cole Miller was right to bring up that lets call it an exit interview Karo had on the show. I would think you would have to win a MMA title to talk the trash Karo did. I wonder how well his book is selling on amazon?

Not to say that Nate and his brother Nick are exactly humble – but at least they have a sort of charm that makes them likeable and they can back up their trash talk with a good show in the ring whether they win or lose.
Karo deserves ANOTHER good beating.I enjoyed watching him cry and whine after Alves kicked his ass.
It’s odd that karo thinks in terms of fighting with guys on the streets instead of winning a championship. He will never be a champion because he’s just not good enough. He thinks of himself as a real dangerous guy, but he can’t win fights against the top fighters. He’s a journeyman and that’s where he’ll stay. If he ever wears a championship belt around his waist it’ll be because he borrowwed it… maybe from Nate Diaz.
Sounds like Karo KNOWS he’s ELITE XC bound and trying to make himself as relevant as possible to the ufc before they ditch his ass…I like Karo and everything but he needs to STFU and do his talking where he gets paid to do it, in the octagon!
Karo is old and grumpy. He really should let things go. If he were a man he would drop weight and back up his mouth in a fight against Nate. It could be a decent challenge for Nate.
