An undisclosed injury to hot prospect Jim Hettes has forced “The Kid” out of a featherweight tilt against TUF veteran Steven Siler at UFC on FX 4.
Stepping in for Hettes will be UFC debutant Joey Gambino. Gambino, who trains out of Tristar MMA, is 9-0 in his MMA career. “The Raging Warrior” now looks to finally find success in the big show alongside teammates the likes of GSP and Rory McDonald.
Siler (20-9) last posted a victory against Cole Miller at UFC on FX 2. Now 15-2 in his last 17 fights, The Pit Fight Team product seems to have finally found his groove. Siler has been able to string together a pair sterling performances since losing to the eventual winner of The Ultimate Fighter 14, Diego Brandao while in the house.
UFC on FX 4 will take place on June 22, 2012 at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event is slated to be headlined by Grey Maynard taking on Clay Guida.
