Excellent event.
i’m still wondering about that xray. it’s really barnett’s hand. what exact time di it happen/ how?
he said the break occurred in the first round but that he kept injuring it more since he refused to stop throwing with that hand.
He also says he didn’t EVER take steroids. His credibility and honesty are, frankly, non-existent.
Saying he broke it 30 seconds in sounds like an excuse for Cormier treating him like Ike treated Tina.
Sonofacrap. will ya clean that up for @chrisl?
Barnett is a beast. But Cormier is not from this planet. Can’t wait for him to hit the UFC. Love how humble he was after the fight too.
Chris, is the hw division in SF done now or no?
technically, yes.. I have a feeling they may try to woo Fedor for his last contracted since Barnett is now the only heavyweight technically there besides Cormier. However, Fedor was very frank and clear that he as ready to be done.
How many fights does Gilbert have left on his SF contract? And how many does thompson have for that matter, they need to be in the ufc. Of course they would enter the deepest division in ufc(all of mma).
It’s believed he’s stuck in Strikeforce until the deal with Showtime ends, it’s been rumored he and a few other fighters were required to stay on with Strikeforce in order to keep Showtime from suing Zuffa after Overeem and Diaz both pulled their stunts to get out of their contracts.
Will be glad to see Nate back in action.
