It would seem that “The Ultimate Fighter: Live” continues to struggle generating viewership. This past Friday’s episode, the eleventh installment, drew a meager 821,000 viewers, making it the least watched episode in the program’s 15-season history.
Five of the season’s eleven episodes have now failed to draw 1 million viewers, despite the ratings of the original incarnation averaging 1.7 million.
Friday’s episode saw Team Cruz’s Vinc Pichel take a contentious decision victory over Team Faber’s Chris Saunders, as well as Faber’s Al Iaquinta scoring a brutal first-round TKO over his teammate Andy Ogle.

Again, no more girls under 170
I love the format…wish it was on a weekday. The numbers would e so much better.
Do these idiot not realize that people go out on Friday nights? Few people are willing to sit home on a Friday night to watch The Ultimate Fighter. MOVE IT BACK TO THE WEEKDAY!!!!
do people even know about FX?
I’d hope, if not they’re missing out on great programming like Always Sunny, Archer, The League, and Wilfred
PHRASING!!
FX has all the movies, FX has all the movies. I do.
They changed the time, the day and the station…just not the same as Wednesdays on Spike at 7pm.
I think they probably had double that when you count people who tivo it. I believe UFC gets paid regardless, but we’ll see what happens next year.
I think that the way the show’s played out is an absolute worst case scenario, with basically all the exciting favorites already being eliminated. The only named guy left is al iaquinta. Miles jury, the karate guy from Michigan, and Justin Lawrence were the most exciting fighters and they’re all gone..even everyone’s underdog Saunders is gone now. Nothing against the remaining 4, but a lot of the hype is long gone.
Agreed, dont think its the format.
Its more that day being changed.
Most people should have FX. FX should be on all main packages.
Now Fuel TV is a different story…….Not sure who sees those fights.
FX likes having TUF on Friday nights as it still outperforms their usual programming. They’re unlikely to move to the show on the weekdays in the fall because that’s when they air their banner shows.
Also, dvr and tivo started being counted in the ratings back in March, and if you do like I do and record it while watching it, it doubles the ratings. Technically speaking, even if your tv is off but your cable box is on the channel it figures into the ratings of what ever is on that channel. Regardless if you watch or not.
Chris you record it while watching it?? Talk about dedication haha ;) That’s good to hear that they’re actually counting the people that record it though. But really is it double for recording and watching it?
Yes I do, part of my job to watch it.
and yes it counts as two views, it’s an early kink they haven’t fixed yet
