The UFC has announced the addition of three match ups to the impending UFC on Fuel TV 4 fight card.
In the bantamweight division, The Ultimate Fighter 14 finalist T.J. Dillashaw (5-1) will be taking on English scrapper Vaughan Lee (12-7-1). Since losing to John Dodson in the TUF 14 finals last December, Team Alpha Male fighter T.J. Dillashaw picked up his first octagon win, over Walel Watson at UFC on Fuel TV 1 last February. Lee, a seasoned pro, has gone 1-1 in the UFC, recently rebounding from a split decision loss to Chris Cariaso with a submission win over Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto.
In other 135lbs action, Raphael Assuncao (16-4) will do battle with Issei Tamura (7-2). Assuncao is 1-1 in the UFC, having bounced back from a quick knockout loss to Erik Koch in his debut by taking a unanimous decision win over Johnny Eduardo at UFC 134 this past August. Tamura made his promotional debut at UFC 144 this past February with a knockout of Tieuqan Zhang.
At flyweight, Chris Cariaso (13-3) will take on another TUF 14 contestant in Josh Ferguson (8-4). In his six-fight tenure with Zuffa (under the WEC and UFC banners), Cariaso’s only losses have come against top contenders Renan Barao and Michael McDonald; he currently enjoys a two-fight winning streak. Never making it to the semifinals, Ferguson also lost in his UFC debut to Roland Delorme at the TUF 14 Finale.
UFC on Fuel TV 4 is expected to take place on July 11 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
