Strikeforce is a great place for younger fighters to gain experience and create a following. However, when Bobby The Bore Southworth is your LHW Champ, there is a problem in the talent pool. I met several fighters and know for a FACT that they bust their asses training. The only bad thing I will say about the event is that the Southworth fight was terribly boring. The other fights that were not all that entertaining were a result of lacking experience or bad match ups......blame the match maker. I got alot of respect for anyone who is willing to step into that cage. But if those are there champions and that is the kinda fights I can expect to see when I watch it, then I don't want to waste my time. Still trying to figure out what was worse the fights or the most annoying announcers of all time. Don't get me wrong I love seeing different MMA organizations but this one I think I could do without. I managed to sneak up close to cage side and for a brief time in a hallway where the fighter's exit. I was being nosey...very nosey and managed to hear some things that really bothered me. A stuck up woman working for Strikeforce was texting someone back and forth while telling the man next to her,(another Strikeforce employee) "Oh God! This idiot! I hate dealing with the f-n coaches. If the stupid ass(fighter) wants something he can ask himself. His fight was boring anyway." She had the biggest bitch attitude I have ever witnessed. As the conversation/bashing went on, I learned the situation was regarding a fighter's ticket comission. How f'd up is that some out of shape ladie's opinion matters regarding a fighters pay? It kills me to know these guys put their lives on the line and then get screwed by the promoter. I overheard this during the Bobby Soutworth fight(the only boring fight of the night) and I honestly do not think I will ever support Strikeforce again unless a personal friend is fighting. There was way more to what I overheard and saw but the bottom line is I am disgusted. Hard work should be rewarded and this certain fighter got bashed behind his back for a very good preformance by some lady who is the equivalent to Gary Shaw. KOuch is disgusted with Strikeforce.
