Mark Munoz will return to the Octagon this summer against Chris Weidman at UFC on Fuel TV 4 on July 11th. Munoz returns after elbow surgery sidelined him in January. The matchup will headline UFC on Fuel TV 4, which was just recently announced by the network. A city and venue for the event is expected to be announced soon.
Munoz (12-2) was set to take on Chael Sonnen at UFC on Fox 2 in January, but withdrew from the event due to an elbow injury. He was sidelined for a few months after undergoing surgery, but has since resumed training. The former Oklahoma State wrestler has enjoyed quite a bit of success as a middleweight in the UFC, going 7-1 in the organization since dropping to 185 pounds in 2009.
He will take on a fellow All-American wrestler in Weidman (8-0) who has won four consecutive fights since joining the UFC last March. He replaced Michael Bisping who replaced Munoz at UFC on Fox 2 in January, where he defeated Demian Maia via unanimous decision, despite taking the fight on just eleven days’ notice.
The matchup very well could determine the number one contender in the middleweight division, possibly earning the victor a title shot in late-2012.
UFC on Fuel TV 4 will also feature a welterweight matchup between Jon Fitch and Aaron Simpson.

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to hear it, does it really fall?
If no one gets FUEL TV will the fight actually happen?

So pumped about this fight. Weidman is gonna take him down!! No pun intended. Then its about title fight time baby.
These free fights the UFC is putting on FX, FUEL TV and FOX are awesome. I don’t feel overpaid by buying PPVs when they put fights on free TV like these.
