Despite being kicked out of The Ultimate Fighter Finale, it appears that Jesse Taylor is set to make his return to the UFC. Sources close to the situation have informed us that, less than one month after he was supposed to face Amir Sadollah in the finale, Taylor will be entering the Octagon on the July 19th card headlined by Anderson Silva vs. James Irvin. Although an opponent has yet to be named, it’s rumored that CB Dolloway, who replaced Taylor in the finale and ultimately lost a second time to Sadollah via first round submission, could be the frontrunner to land the fight. read more

All mma fans have to see Fedor, to see if he is the real deal. I think Dana is scared!!!
Why else would he move Spider up in weight.

I agree, i’d rather pay to watch Fedor than watch Silva for free. And i’m a little suprised that not everyone agrees. To me money doesn’t come into it. Its like, if your thirsty are you going to drink your own urine because its free……no you’ll buy a beer because it tastes better & to me the Fedor fight is far more interesting than Silva stepping up in weight even if Fedor’s fighting the sloath like Tim Sylvia. And besides the rest of the affliction card (in my opinion) is far superior to the ufc alternative.

Anderson has been called the pound for pound best in the world for quite sometime now. Altough I think this could be an exciting fight, I do not see an unranked light-heavyweight having the goods to to stop the Mr. Silva (no offense James, you are indeed talented). The issue at hand is who will Silvia fight next. In my personal opinion, an un offical grand prix shoul be set up. the for fighters would be Okami vs Almieda and Marquardt vs Leites. The winners of the first round will face each other. Than the last man standing faces Anderson. This is a logical decison at 185.
i dont think JT should be able to fight yet… i guess he has matured a little bit
or…just hear me out…you could go somewhere where both fights are being shown and watch both for free…(buffalo wild wings) good wings too..I think silva is going to win although he a chance of gettin KO’d…Ivin just needs to keep his distance and watch out for that clinch…thats what ****ed franklin over…I hope tim KO’s fedor too!!!

You know us brits get to watch f*ck all live, we have to wait for the re-runs, by which time idiots like me have logged on to sites like this, found out the results and then don’t bother watching the fights because we’ve spoit it for ourselves…. i’ve still not watched the tuf finale yet !!!!

Bisping, while extremely talented, is not yet ready for the likes of Silva. In time in sure he will be, but not untill he faces some top 5 contenders in the divison be beats them.
Why would anybody pay to watch The Maineiac jab Fedor to death? 3 rounds of never closing the distance because of jabs. That is all Tim does, maybe land a lucky kick or two, but he will keep opponent away, especially Fedor. I would pay to watch Tim get knocked out or break an arm again. Anderson Silva is the best, strikes with knees, elbows, fists and looks good doing it. He is stronger than people think and will finish Irvin in the first round. Plus, watching Frankie Edgar fight is a bonus!
Not sure why you guys are still arguing about this. Use a TiVo or DVR and record UFN and watch affliction. Any normal MMA fan would realize it’s worth the money to see live.
I’ve seen some really good heavyweight fights lately (i.e. recent SportFight by Matt Lindland and a preliminary fight for UFC 85) so I think the standard of heavyweights is being raised.
Any of you thinking Fedor is some ‘dumb slow heavyweight’ hasn’t ever seen him fight.

Ya I keep hearing anderson is p4p the best fighter in the world. But he hasn’t even in any other weight class. If he runs through james then he’s going to have to face vera and no way he wins that. I also believe the count will beat when he gets the chance. he’s gonna get cocky and think no one can beat and thats when he loses the title.

Silva is moving up into a new division and has to start somewhere. A fighter like Silva is usually given an easy opponent as a stepping stone and I think that is why he will be facing Irvin. Your opinion is that a fighter must dominate multiple weight divisions in order to be the best P4P in the world. How can Silva prove that if he doesn’t move up or down?

there is tons of things going on that night. i may watch ufc mainevent live reguarless of what afflicition is doing on their show at the moment. fedor is overrated and i really hope that tim can prove it. i dont like the sloath but nver the less he is a big dominate guy so we will see. however the spyder is nuts i dont believe that irvin will have any reach on silva his best bet would be use his weight and ground and pound him out. sliva is going to destroy irvin. i am curious to see if he can keep his speed up though he cuts from 215 to 185 and you can see where he gets the speed from so i am not sure if the extra pounds will slow him much.

I just figured it out. I’m going to a sport’s bar where they are going to show the Affliction ppv. The sports bar will have so many TV’s, so they’ll put half on spike, the other on affliction. Of course, which one will they turn the volume up when the main event starts.

James Irvin? Really? wow. Silva is gonna destroy him. I’m lookin forward to the franca/edgar fight. Edgar is the real deal and should be in the LW title picture with a victory! That anthony johnson is a BAMF! His striking is pin point accurate! I got two tvs side by side watching both these events! exciting time to be an mma fan
