I'd bet the majority of average fans have no clue Affliction is even happening. Even when they hear about it there is little chance they are willing or wanting to purchase it. Especially if they know of the FREE UFC event. The UFC definitely hit Afflition good with this move. I was unsure if I should purchase the Affliction PPV but decided against it when the UFC announced a free event with Anderson Silva the #1 P4P fighter in the world on the same night. Affliction tried to make a huge push but to me it is a promotion full of veterans past their prime with a very nice HW division guaranteed to provide some slow paced fights with little action. It is going to be hard for Affliction to build for the future the way the have gone about signing fighters.....just my opinion. The majority of people buying the Affliction PPV are hard core fans.
