Nick Diaz vs. Thomas Denny Booked For EliteXC “Unfinished Business” On July 26th
Thomas Denny has agreed to fight Nick Diaz at EliteXC “Unfinished Business” on July 26th, according to Sherdog.com.
The event will be held in Diaz’s hometown of Stockton, California at the Stockton Arena and will air live on CBS at 9pm ET. Two EliteXC titles will be up for grabs at the event as champion Robbie Lawler takes on Scott Smith in a rematch from EliteXC “Primetime” for the promotion’s middleweight title and Jake Shields will face Nick Thompson for the newly-created EliteXC welterweight championship.
Denny (26-16), a former King of the Cage champion, has won four of his last five bouts. He was last in action in March, defeating Malaipet in his EliteXC debut via disqualification due to illegal elbows.
Diaz (17-7), a WEC, PRIDE, and UFC veteran, has won six of his last eight bouts. His recent wins include an EliteXC debut victory over Mike Aina, a DREAM debut TKO win over Katsuya Inoue, and, most recently, a third-round TKO of Mushin Corbbrey at a June 14th EliteXC event.

im a fan of diaz so hope he wins but i want to see him back in the ufc. people think theres any chance of that?
I DON’T KNOW BUT I HOPE SO… I ENJOY WATCHING THE BROTHERS
Dana cant stand dealing with one Diaz brother let alone two so i would be SHOCKED if they took back Nick.. i am a rare fan that loves the cocky and bullying antics of the Diaz brothers and with them fighting in different orgs, there is a better chance of seeing them fight more so i hope he stays with Elite….
that word was c.o.c.k.y. btw.. lol
I think that Dana and Nick have pretty much determined they don’t work well together. I think that Nick enjoys the opportunity to fight wherever he wants, whenever he wants for the most part. That’s something Dana would never allow, so who knows?
He loses two titlw shots and ends up with Denny. He does have bad luck.
if anything, Denny is atleast entertaining while entering the ring since he is always arm in arm with a p.orn star or two… lol
LOL at Mr Nice…
You got that right…You should have heard thoses skanks back last December yelling for Baker at the WEC
Nick will never fight in the Ufc. He likes fighting I doubt 2-3 fights a year is not enough for him. Elitexc gives him basically what he wants chances to fight in other organizations Dana will never let that happen. But I would love to see him in the ufc again.

As I lay down on my knee…praying to the lord that might be… if Diaz wins I may have to sit… put his picture in my toilet and take a big fat sh*t.
If Nick “The Dick” Diaz does win I hope they still eventually let him have a fight with Noons.
I like Nick….he’s a good guy. Nate’s cool too.
Although I am personaly a fan of Mr. Diaz, it is his out of the cage antics that has cost him an imediadte rematch with Noons. Promoters like to build up inticipation and gather hype untill the rematch would be alll the MMA world will be talking about. Also, where this is a card that will air live in CBS, it would be a gamble to put these two in the cage while there emotions are still so high. ProElite is just covering its own tail. As for this fight, Denny has always been a journeyman who just cannot get over the hump. Assuming that Diaz has no distractions in train that effect his proformance (or weight for that matter) this should be an exciting fight that should be in Diaz’s favor.
