Serra vs. Hughes to Headline TUF 6 Finale
Dana White recently appeared on The Scott Ferrall Show on Sirius radio and delivered the confirmation we all wanted: Matt Serra will face Matt Hughes on the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 6 this fall. Why is this so big? The title bout will be free on Spike TV.
Before the announcement there were mixed rumors as the when and where the bout would happen. Some felt their appearance as coaches on TUF 6 was to spin the rivalry onto a PPV card in hopes of massive buys. Others felt that the bout was destined for the TUF 6 finale in similar fashion to this seasons finale main event of BJ Penn against Jens Pulver.
Best of all the fight is going to be free and will be the first ever UFC title defense on Spike TV. There is a lot of buzz around next season of TUF already and it will only get bigger as the season draws closer.

That is really cool news and a great ending to the show. I’ve got my money on Hughes though, I still think Serra is a fluke.. Oops did I say that out loud?
Serra has a lot more pressure coming into this. Hughes was a proven champ. Serra has to convince everyone it wasn’t a fluke and that he really is a better fighter than everyone gives him credit for.
should make for an interesting show since Matt Serra clearly dislikes hughes.
[...] fight has been rumored to take place on The Ultimate Fighter 6 finale as well as a PPV event in New Jersey in November but [...]
I just pray St Pierre annihilates Hughes so Serra can clean house on the remains. Though both of them Suck in the arrogant department.
