MMAFrenzy’s look at the 32 biggest upsets in MMA history rolls along with the start of the quarterfinals. The second round saw very little competition with only two match-ups not being separated by at least 150 votes. Make sure to get your votes in before the semifinals are announced Wednesday.
We judged the upsets on the basis of fight odds, skills, fighter ranks, and the surprise factor. We tried to minimize a hindsight bias by focusing on where these fighters were at in their careers at the time of the upsets rather than where they are now. The full results and bracket can be seen here.
