Jeff Curran vs. Johnny Eduardo Targeted for UFC on FUEL TV 3

The UFC has announced a new bantamweight contest added to the UFC on FUEL TV 3 fight card between mixed martial arts veterans Jeff Curran and Johnny Eduardo.

34-year-old Jeff “Big Frog” Curran (33-14-1) is more well-traveled than most of his peers, having been competing as a professional since 1998. The elite Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt has spent time in the cage with some of the world’s best, but has hit rough waters as of late, going 4-6 in his last ten. Curran most recently appeared in action at UFC 137 this past October, dropping a unanimous decision to Scott Jorgensen in his first fight back in the UFC since 2004.

Getting his start professionally in 1998, Johnny Eduardo (25-9) is one of the few fighters competing who can claim to have been in the game as long as Curran. The Nova Uniao representative has spent the entirety of his career fighting in Brazil and only made his UFC debut this past August at UFC 134 in Rio de Janeiro, taking on fellow Brazilian Raphael Assuncao. That also happens to be Eduardo’s most recent appearance; he lost via unanimous decision.

UFC on FUEL TV 3 is scheduled to take place on May 15th from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The event will be headlined by a featherweight battle between Dustin Poirier and Chan Sung Jung.
