I can't wait to see Arlovski, Silvia and Babalu fight their butts off to show UFC what they are missing out on. Not to mention Fedor among others. MMA has been around for 75+ years. Yes Zuffa and the UFC were the ones who got it to go mainstream, but one promotion isn't enough to showcase all the great fighters there are in this world. White would rather pay rookie Brock Lesnar more money than basically everyone who helped him make the UFC what it is today, so be it. You reap what you sew. That is why both promotions told Affliction to F off when Affliction went and started up it's own promotion. Afflcition wanted to play with fire and now they are getting burned. The UFC has a the premiere roster in MMA and plenty of time to put on a great show. Professional fighters do not wait to be contacted by the UFC to start training. I don't even know why the training issue is coming up. Maybe the fighters have not been doing extensive fight training but any professional has still been training enough to be ready. It's not about having anything to prove either. This is about delivering a b!tch slap to Affliction for their sneaky business nature. Revenge. The UFC wanted Fedor but Fedor wanted a lot of money and the freedom to fight else where. Obviously that does not work with the UFC's billion dollar business model/plan at this time. In my opinion, Afflictio is getting exactly what it deserves. There is no argument or doubt that if this UFC July 19 event takes place, Affliction PPV buys will be destroyed. I understand many of you still want to watch both but like I said before, "those of us here chatting up MMA, we're amongst the hard core fans." The majority of average fans were not going to buy Affliction in the first place. Affliction was trying to get a big start with a fight card full of ranked HWs and big names. Unfortunately for Affliction, the UFC doesn't play games and at the end of July 19, the UFC will have stolen a massive number of viewers and PPV buys from Affliction.
