Miguel Torres will return to the Octagon for the first time since being released then re-signed over controversial Tweets when the former WEC bantamweight champion takes on Michael McDonald at UFC 145 on April 21 in Atlanta.
Torres vs. McDonald was announced for the UFC 145 card on Saturday night along with seven other fights that were slated for the event when it was scheduled for March in Montreal before the date was recently scrapped.
Torres (39-4) topped Nick Pace at UFC 139 in November for his third win in four fights following a narrow loss to Demetrious Johnson in May, while McDonald (14-1) takes a step up in competition after pushing his win streak to seven with UFC victories over Alex Soto, Chris Cariaso, and Edwin Figueora.
