As expected, the UFC will visit Sweden for the first time with UFC on Fuel TV 2 on April 14 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, the UFC officially confirmed today.
No matchups have been announced for the event, but a welterweight bout between DaMarques Johnson and John Maguire is slated for the card.
Rising light heavyweight and Swedish native Alexander Gustafsson is another likely candidate to fight at UFC on Fuel TV 2 after scoring a first-round knockout of Vladimir Matyushenko this past weekend at UFC 141 for his fourth-straight win. Other Swedish fighters on the UFC roster include Reza Madadi, who makes his Octagon debut against Fabricio Camoes at UFC on FX 1 on Jan. 20, and Papy Abedi, who lost his UFC debut to Thiago Alves at UFC 138 in November.
UFC on Fuel TV 2 follows UFC on FX 2, which airs in the U.S. on March 2 from Sydney, Australia, and UFC 145 on March 24 in Montreal, Canada.
