White, Lesnar To Appear On CNBC; UFC Licensing Deal Expected To Be Announced
UFC.com has announced that UFC President Dana White and Brock Lesnar will be appearing on CNBC later today:
Dana White and heavyweight sensation Brock Lesnar will appear live on CNBC’s “Power Lunch” today to announce an exciting new UFC deal. The show airs at 12:40pm ET.
They are expected to announce a new licensing deal with JAKKS Pacific, a world leader in fighting action figures. The full press release for the new agreement, which includes licenses for Lesnar, Chuck Liddell, and Anderson Silva among others, is after the jump.
On Thursday White is expected to make a major announcement that will “rock the MMA world”.

Yay we can buy action figures. I know when I was a kid I had my wrestling ring and it was pretty top quality. I hope the Octogan they make is solid in quality. Time to be a kid again!

These will not be collectors items, they will be mass produced and in every toy’s r us world wide. It would be better if they were bobbleheads and limited to 10,000 and only given away at mma events like they do at baseball games. That way I could sell them on ebay and make a buck or 3 lol.

This is rediculous! Is Dana’s big news really childrens toys? What a let down. I was expecting either a T.V. deal, mixed weight class tournaments, or promotions including Affliction fighters or something that would actually rock the MMA world. I could care less about these dolls.
Go to the ufc website, it says the “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT”. i read it and it’s not a big deal to me. It’s not like a superfight or such, it’s just another way to make more money.

I think the BIG UFC Announcement involves Vince Mcmahon and New York City .
Dana has openely called Vince a Genius and Shane mcmahon and liddell have been good friends for years. plus UFC wants to get sanctionned in New York and Vince has huge power in New York City.
