I was kind of surprised to see Wiuff defeat Fujita who is a very expierence international fighter (I remember him mostly from PrideFC). At the same time it good to see Wiuff on a hot a streak. I remember him back when he was competing in the UFC.
Nick Thompson is a really great fighter! It’s no surpise to me that his fitht didn’t go the distance.
I’d like to see how Yoshiki Takahashi was KO 24 seconds into the 2nd rd. I bet it was wonderfully beautiful. If Nick Thomspon is who I think he is, you are right he is a great fighter. If Nick strings together a few more wins, he will be a face recognized and remembered by more of the MMA community.
BREAKING NEWS:
I just read on Fightline.com that the UFC has signed the #1 P4P Boxer in the world, Floyd Money Mayweather AKA Pretty Boy to a figting contract. Not only am I a big fan of MMA, I am also a big fan of Boxing and I read on Maxboxing.com last Friday, Mayweather just recently officially retired from boxing on last Friday. If the reports of Mayweather signing with UFC are true, It makes since now, why Dana White says he has some news that would rock the MMA World! THIS IS HUGE!!!
Good to see Fabio get another win under his belt. He could turn out to be great one day.
Travis Wuiff should be back in UFC already.
Jai,
You’re every where with this news but I told you, the news is the introduction of midgets and dwarfs to the world of MMA. You have to stop the joking….some of these guys don’t understand your sarcasm.
from a sherdog post
group of investors led by Dana White have agreed in principle to purchase the UFC from Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta for an undisclosed amount. Included in this investment group is WWE’s Vince McMahon who will now own a minority stake in the company. They also have plans on taking the company public by years end.
At the press conference also expect Dana to announce that with the help of McMahon, who has extensive connections in the New York State Athletic Commission, they were able to get the UFC sanctioned in New York, and plan on having a show sometime in the winter at Madison Square Garden. That is all I have right now.
