UFC 70 Bonus Awards
Fighters at UFC events are paid base salaries which don’t include bonuses for fight, knockout, and submission of the night. UFC 70 was no different, giving out three bonus awards:
Fight of the night:
Michael Bisping def. Elvis Sinosic
Knockout of the night:
Gabriel Gonzaga def. Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (kick)
Submission of the night:
Terry Etim def. Matt Grice (guillotine choke)
I think the award for the knockout shouldn’t surprise anyone but Bisping def. Sinosic as fight of the night? No way, for me anyways. If I was dishing out these awards I would have to give fight of the night to Terry Etim’s win over Matt Grice leaving the other awards how they are. Etim was getting pounded in that fight and reversed it to earn the submission win.

I think the bonus awards are great. Gives an extra incentive to the fighters.
Happy to hear terry etim got submission of the night , well deserved , i think bisping got fight of the night just for the hype of the fight the atmosphere was unreal, Dana must have based that for fight of the night , great for uk mma though !!!!!!!!!!
