Can someone do a transcript on the Sims and Coleman interview on sherdog?
Did anyone watch this event? Any exciting fights? How was the production of the show?
I didn’t see it but I love looking at the results after all MMA events. 7 out of 10 fights ended in the 1st round. That is F’n terrific. Not only that, only 1 fight went the distance. A night of action was missed by me. This makes me think of last Tuesday when I called a local radio show:
The other day I was listening to a radio show I listen to daily where they talk mostly MLB, NFL, NHL, and NBA. Anyway, boxing gets brought up and they start comparing it to MMA.(boxing is better argument) I get irritated by ignorance and called the radio show to prove them wrong and successfully did with all their misinterpretations and lack of knowledge for MMA. I think what got the hosts good was I said, “you two are comparing apples and oranges. The thing is, you are both old and never had an orange in your life.(over 45)Neither one of you can tell me any knowledge based facts on MMA because it is a new sport and you not being interested in it has resulted in your ignorance towards the sport. You two have not done your homework as sports radio hosts. Stop bashing it, you don’t know what you’re talking about.” One of the hosts replied with, “But in boxing you can get a 7rd battle between two guys….” I interupted like a maniac and asked, “Who the heck wants to watch a ballet when they came to see a fight? Boxing has become a dance and to get to rd 7 you must first sit for 21-24 minutes watching a dance bored out of your mind.” The hosts replied, “well we will have to agree to disagree. I replied, “no, you are not allowed to agree to disagree because you host a sports show and you know absolutely nothing about MMA which you are comparing to boxing. You guys are old…get over it.” Then they hung up on me and made fun of me…..it was fun.
BREAKING NEWS:
I just read on Fightline.com that the UFC has signed the #1 P4P Boxer in the world, Floyd Money Mayweather AKA Pretty Boy to a figting contract. Not only am I a big fan of MMA, I am also a big fan of Boxing and I read on Maxboxing.com last Friday, Mayweather just recently officially retired from boxing on last Friday. If the reports of Mayweather signing with UFC are true, It makes since now, why Dana White says he has some news that would rock the MMA World! THIS IS HUGE!!!
Hey guys was this on HDNet? If so I didn’t see it?
Everyone go to Sherdog and see if you can figure out what that Sims Coleman video was about? Was it a microphoe training session for the WWE?
from a sherdog post
group of investors led by Dana White have agreed in principle to purchase the UFC from Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta for an undisclosed amount. Included in this investment group is WWE’s Vince McMahon who will now own a minority stake in the company. They also have plans on taking the company public by years end.
At the press conference also expect Dana to announce that with the help of McMahon, who has extensive connections in the New York State Athletic Commission, they were able to get the UFC sanctioned in New York, and plan on having a show sometime in the winter at Madison Square Garden. That is all I have right now.
I saw this TKO event, from beginning to the end. If you want any information on it, lemmie know !
