Report: Kimbo Slice To Fight Brett Rogers In October

Kimbo SliceKevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, fresh off his controversial stoppage of James Thompson at EliteXC “Primetime” this Saturday, will return to the cage in October to face Brett Rogers, who is also coming off of a “Primetime” win, his over Jon Murphy.

Slice and Rogers engaged in a minor altercation and shouting match during the post-event press conference after Rogers called Kimbo out, stating that  his main event performance was “garbage”.

The fall matchup was reported late yesterday by Fanhouse, citing an appearace by Slice on Dan LeBatard’s radio show in which he revealed he’d next face Rogers “likely in October”.

The bout is expected to be featured on EliteXC’s next CBS show, which will also reportedly feature a middleweight title fight rematch from “Primetime” between champion Robbie Lawler and challenger Scott Smith after the bout was ruled a no contest the first time around due to an accidental poke in the eye by Lawler.
