UFC newcomer Jake Hecht has stepped in to face welterweight Rich Attonito on the UFC 140 prelims in place of Claude Patrick, who replaced an injured Rory MacDonald against Brian Ebersole on the main card of the December 10 event in Toronto, according to MMAjunkie.
Attonito (10-4), a castmember on The Ultimate Fighter 11, dropped to 170-pounds with a unanimous decision over Daniel Roberts to improve to 3-1 in the UFC, while Hecht (10-2) has won three-straight and holds a notable win over TUF 13’s Charlie Rader as well as a loss to fellow UFC fighter Che Milles.
UFC 140 is headlined by light heavyweight champion Jon Jones vs. Lyoto Machida and also features Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir and Tito Ortiz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
