A featherweight matchup between Manny Gamburyan and Diego Nunes, which was originally scheduled for UFC 135 in September before being scrapped by an injury to Gamburyan, has been rebooked for UFC 141 on December 30 in Las Vegas, the UFC announced today.
Gamburyan (11-6), the runner-up to Nate Diaz on The Ultimate Fighter 5, suffered a first-round KO to champion Jose Aldo in his final WEC bout last September before dropping a majority decision to Tyson Griffin in his return to the UFC in June.
Nunes (16-2) suffered a unanimous decision loss in welcoming lightweight veteran Kenny Florian to 145-pounds in June after winning his Octagon debut over former WEC champ Mike Brown in January.
UFC 141 is headlined by former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem, while exciting lightweights Donald Cerrone and Nate Diaz square off in the co-main event.
