from a sherdog post
group of investors led by Dana White have agreed in principle to purchase the UFC from Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta for an undisclosed amount. Included in this investment group is WWE’s Vince McMahon who will now own a minority stake in the company. They also have plans on taking the company public by years end.

At the press conference also expect Dana to announce that with the help of McMahon, who has extensive connections in the New York State Athletic Commission, they were able to get the UFC sanctioned in New York, and plan on having a show sometime in the winter at Madison Square Garden. That is all I have right now.

Well first off Bas is probably one of the most all around complete mma fighters of all time.Kimbo well tough as he is has a lot to learn but with Bas in his corner....no telling how far he can and will go.I like him because he will always be tenacious, aggresive, and honestly Very dangerous once he has a good couple of years of training with guys like Bas in his corner. So love him or hate him,it's damm exciting to watch and see what each of his fights brings for the rest of us to enjoy.Good luck to Bas & Kimbo.

Bas is a stand up guy and so is Kimbo. Kimbo picked the perfect person to help him learn this sport.

A lot of people like to put the "joke" label on Kimbo. The guys has been nothing but respectful and humble ever since starting this sport. He's just trying to make a living by fighting. He's not promoting himself. That's Gary Shaw's and Elite's job. It's not Kimbo's fault that Shaw has decided to promote him so heavy and give him the fights they are giving him and paying him as much as they are paying him. It's kind of funny because, everyone gives Kimbo such a hard time but no one says anything about Brock Lesnar or giving him the "joke" label when he has accomplished pretty much the same as Kimbo has in this sport so far, and THAT NOT MUCH AT ALL! No one says anything about how heavy the UFC promoted Brock leading up to his 1st fight with them nor about how much he got paid when he hasn't really proved himself in this sport. Everyone's Kimbo's ground game sucks but the same can be said about Brock. I mean his wrestling is world class everyone knows that, but he has not JJ or stand up (1 out of 3). Kimbo is very skilled with his hands, but needs work on his wrestling and his JJ (1 out of 3). So the question is why give Kimbo so much heat but say nothing about Brock. Give the guy a break!!!

It certainly is Kris, I actually interned for Redlasso about a year ago before the videos were open sourced. Their based out of the Philly burbs and their principle investor is Pat Croce.

Red Lasso is a hell of a service. If it sticks around it's gonna be a hell of a service once the videos section launches (ASAP, I promise)

this fight in addition to his interview makes me despise gary shaw for making MMA looks exactly like what most people hate about it. good for bas to come clean and admit what he did, he's one of verrrrry few people in that orginization that lend any credibility.

good of bas to admit that it should of been stopped. I still feel for thompson though because this was a huge fight for him after some of the heavy losses hes took. And all the talk before the fight was how kimbo was gonna walk through him and he showed a good chin and I think he had the win taken away from him.I feel he deserves a re match.

Seriously. Takes a wise man to know he's got alot to learn. Bad for the sport or not, I'm glad he and Kimmy recognize their inexperience.
