UFC middleweight Chris Leben, who was sentenced to 35 days in jail earlier this month stemming from a probation violation, has been released early from jail according to a blog post on his official MySpace page by his account administrator:
Chris has been released from jail over the weekend. This is all the information I have right now and I’ll be sure to update everyone on his resolved legal issues, immediate plans and the expected date of his next match after Chris gets everything organized.
He thanks you again for your patience and understanding and Chris will be posting here as soon as he can.
A proposed UFC 85 bout between Leben and Michael Bisping was scrapped following his sentencing earlier this month. Bisping will now face off against Jason Day on the main card of the June 7th pay-per-view event.
