Chris LebenUFC middleweight Chris Leben, who was sentenced to 35 days in jail earlier this month stemming from a probation violation, has been released early from jail according to a blog post on his official MySpace page by his account administrator:

Chris has been released from jail over the weekend. This is all the information I have right now and I’ll be sure to update everyone on his resolved legal issues, immediate plans and the expected date of his next match after Chris gets everything organized.

He thanks you again for your patience and understanding and Chris will be posting here as soon as he can.

A proposed UFC 85 bout between Leben and Michael Bisping was scrapped following his sentencing earlier this month. Bisping will now face off against Jason Day on the main card of the June 7th pay-per-view event.

Maybe the crying got him out early….

  • Ryan-S says:

glad he’s out, now ship him over here to the UK to fight Bisping, that’ll make the card better
he’ll probably do him even with a weeks training ! lol

I think Leben thinks he is much bigger than he is. He thinks he is a Chuck Liddell or an Anderson Silva of MMA.

  • Ryan-S says:

leben is pretty good in my opinion, he does slug it out with whoever. I would have cerrtainly liked to have seen him appear at ufc 85, pity, cos i was looking forward to it.

    n,

Why would you talk ****? Have you ever served any time? It is extremely boring and I bet if you were Leben’s cell mate you would be the one crying. Big mouth. Posting that was useless, pointless and a waste of your time.

    FiXxer,

Can you tell us more about Leben’s train of thought being you are his brain and know everything going on in his head?

    KOuch,

Can you get off Leben’s nuts and stop acting as his defense lawyer?

NO! He has gotten better and stated he learned from his loss to Silva he will never be a champion unless he changs his ways.

  • Faixa Roxa says:

Leben will never be champion, period.

  • FixXeR says:

    KOuch,

I wont sit and talk trash with you but I will say Leben “threatend” to leave the UFC if he didnt get paid more (like he deserves it) because he said he was an elite fighter. The dude can slug it out with the rest of the middle to low class middleweights, but he is no contest for the elite. He is sloppy. Franklin, Henderson would tear him a new one, and Silva did. If you watch the pre fight interview of the Leben-Silva fight, Leben says, “he (Silva) doesnt deserve to be in the octogon with me, he hasnt proved his worth”…..well we all know what has happend since Silva’s first fight.

Faixa Roxa says it right….he will never be champion.

I’m just saying, he cried on the show a bunch of times hes cried every loss, hes lost to Kaleb and cried, well I would have too but thats another waste of my time.

  • brad g says:

never be a champ but he brings a brawl everytime. Just like Guida ; it he fights as action packed as he does he’ll always have a job. I’ll watch Leban any day over boring ass Kongo.

  • n says:

“Leban any day over boring ass Kongo” ha ha totally agree
