Quinton “Rampage” Jackson writes that he’s “heart attack serious” about reclaiming the UFC light heavyweight title when he takes on current champion Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 135 on September 24 in Denver:
I think now I didn’t appreciate even myself what I had accomplished (unifying the UFC and PRIDE titles), and by the time I did, I’d lost it. That’s why I want my belt back so bad. It’s my belt.
So it does kinda bug me that people think I’m not taking this fight in Denver next against Jones seriously. It’s dead serious, heart attack serious to me. I want that belt back.
Jackson went on to say that he’s been training at altitude in Denver for seven weeks and is eager to test Jones’ chin, but knows he has to overcome “Bones” reach first.
