UFC newcomer Mike Stumpf has stepped in to replace an injured Daniel Roberts and will make his Octagon debut on short-notice against welterweight TJ Waldburger at Saturday’s “UFC Fight Night 25: Battle on the Bayou” event in New Orleans, the UFC announced Monday.
Stumpf (11-2) ended a two-and-a-half year layoff with a unanimous decision over Dan Bolden in the Illinois-based XFO in May, while Waldburger (13-6) won his UFC debut over David Mitchell in September before his four-fight win streak was snapped with a first-round TKO to Johny Hendricks in March.
The Spike-televised UFC Fight Night 25 main card is headlined by welterweight contenders Jake Shields and Jake Ellenberger.
