Welterweight veteran Dennis Hallman will drop to 155-pounds to take on lightweight John Makdessi at the UFC 140 fight card on December 10 in Toronto, the UFC announced on Friday.
Hallman (43-14-2) scored wins over Ben Saunders and Karo Parisyan before suffering a first-round TKO to Brian Ebersole at UFC 133 in a fight remembered for Hallman’s speedo trunks, while the Canadian Makdessi (9-0) remained unbeaten with a spinning backfist KO of Kyle Watson in April at the UFC’s first event in Toronto.
UFC 140 features a rematch between former heavyweight champions Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir, as well as welterweights Rory MacDonald vs. Brian Ebersole.

Makdessi is an exciting striker to watch, i like these guys that are not conservative and try the riskier kicks and strikes.,,unproven on his back but gets up quick and has good take down defense which he will need against the veteran Hallman.
2nd! in over 15hrs. I guess this news isn’t very tantalizing eh?
