After being dropped from the UFC 137 main event against welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre for missing a press conference on Wednesday, Nick Diaz broke his silence in a YouTube video titled “Looks like someone don’t want me to win” in which he appologized for missing the “beauty pageant” and said he’s ready to fight.
Diaz was replaced in the pay-per-view headliner by Carlos Condit, who was scheduled to face BJ Penn in UFC 137’s co-main event but now challenges St-Pierre for the welterweight title.
UFC President Dana White initially suggested Diaz could be released, but he currently remains on the UFC roster and is still being promoted by the UFC on Twitter.
